My Bio

Dr. Phyllis Hayes-Reams is a Christian transformational life coach with more than 20 years of clinical experience in palliative medicine, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine. As a board-certified physician, she has practiced medicine in the ambulatory clinic, nursing home, residential care, and home care settings.

Phyllis’ ability to transform the lives of Christian women working in hospice and palliative care emotionally, spiritually, and physically comes from her personal triumphs over burnout and compassion fatigue.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program), a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University California, a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the University of California Los Angeles, and a Master of Art in Theology and Biblical Studies from the Fuller Theological Seminary School of Theology.

She founded her own company called PEHR Ministries in 2020 to empower, build, and highlight the power of Christian women by creating programs and services designed to help them come together and inspire each other to do better in various arenas of life and the community. Her work with faith-based women has helped many reconnect with their “why” to lead more rewarding lives. She is an ordained Minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church since 2003 where she has been instrumental in leading Bible studies and women’s ministry.

Phyllis’ passion for helping clients enhance and maintain their physical, nutritional, and emotional health is evident through her role as a virtual health and wellness partner with BODi, where she has helped her clients create sustainable daily fitness and mindset routines. She has won a Home Care Physician of The Year Award from the California Association of Health Services at Home, and a Humanitarian Award from the California Conference for Equality and Justice

Phyllis has created her coaching program using her experience, education, and qualifications to help women working in hospice and palliative care reignite their careers and lives with passion and purpose so they can continue making invaluable contributions to their patients and families while staying connected to their faith.
